On September 6, Ravi Shastri will address the cricket fraternity on, as per the invitation card, &lsquo;The Current Cricket Scenario&rsquo; at the Bombay Gymkhana. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/aug/shastri.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 289px;" /> Ravi Shastri Gavaskar, Bedi and Kapil did the honours at the Cricket Club of India before the venue of India&rsquo;s first ever home Test in 1933 hosted the Lecture last year. On July 10 this year, Shastri lit up a Legends Club meeting at the CCI where he regaled his audience with stories about Gavaskar on the batting legend&rsquo;s 64th birthday. Even those well aware of Gavaskar&rsquo;s exploits lapped up Shastri&rsquo;s insight as to what made the little man the greatest opening batsman of his time. Shastri&rsquo;s September 6 talk is expected to be attacking and spicy on the running of world cricket. It will be a surprise if he doesn&rsquo;t dwell on how India have been right in their reluctance to embrace the Decision Review System (DRS) for bilateral series after the controversy it created in the recently concluded Ashes series in England.
