Southampton: India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was congratulated on Saturday by team manager Sunil Dev for speaking out at International Cricket Council match referee David Boon's punitive action on Ravindra Jadeja in his pre-Test media conference.

"To me, it is a very hurtful decision. A lot of things were neglected in judging the case," said Dhoni referring to Boon's decision to impose a 50 per cent fine on Jadeja for his so–called spat with England pace bowler James Anderson in the first Test at Nottingham.
