The much-anticipated open-top bus parade celebrating Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s historic IPL 2025 triumph was called off after Bengaluru city police denied permission, citing concerns over potential traffic congestion. The cancellation was officially announced via a tweet by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, dampening the spirits of fans eager to celebrate their team’s maiden IPL title.
Unfavourable weather conditions, particularly intermittent rain showers, likely played a role in the authorities' decision. Moreover, the overwhelming crowd turnout across the city following RCB’s dramatic win last night made crowd management a serious challenge, further influencing the cancellation.

Despite the setback, there remains a slim possibility of the parade going ahead if the Chief Minister intervenes and grants special permission. Interestingly, the open-top bus meant for the procession remains stationed near his office, leaving a glimmer of hope for fans.
