Rohit Sharma hit an unbeaten 68 to guide India to a comfortable four-wicket win over the West Indies in the first one-day international of the five match series at the Queens Park Oval here Monday. Sharma's 75-ball knock helped India recover from a shaky 61 for three to successfully chase down a modest West Indies total of 214/9 in 44.5 overs with four wickets in hand. Sharma was also adjudged as the Man of the Match.
West Indies aided by Ramnaresh Sarwan (56) and Marlon Samuels (55), who put on 82 for the fourth wicket, got to a respectable total on a challenging track. Harbhajan Singh finished as the pick of either side's bowlers with 3-32.
