Sky News reported that officers from Greater Manchester's Collision Reconstruction Unit examined the scene of the accident.

The website reported: "The United winger gave a negative breath test and went on his way to training uninjured with his teammate Manucho.
Officers have confirmed they are examining tyre marks and damage in the tunnel as part of their investigation. It is not yet known whether CCTV cameras were switched on at the time."
