England cricketer Monty Panesar was questioned by police following a row with his wife in a Luton pub car parku00a0 according to reports.

According to the news received it is to be believed that the police were called in January by a member of the public who had seen the 29-year-old spin bowler rowing with his wife.

The incident is touted to have taken place just days before the former Stopsley High School pupil helped launch Luton's city status bid at Luton Hoo. Bedfordshire Police is believed to have said that theu00a0 29-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of common assault at a house in Luton and had been interviewed before being released without charge.

The cricketer's spokesmanu00a0 has been quoted saying: "The police picked him up and took him to the police station where he was interviewed. The matter is now closed."
