India skipper Virat Kohli has smashed his first double century in Tests. In the process, he became the first Indian captain to ever score a double ton abroad.
Kohli was 200 not out at lunch on the second day of the first Test against West Indies at Antigua's Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Friday. The 27-year-old cricketer reached the landmark off 281 balls with 24 boundaries.

At the interval, India were 404 for four in their first innings with 'all-rounder' Ravichandran Ashwin on an unbeaten 64. The duo batted the entire first session, extending their fifth-wicket stand to 168 runs as the West Indies failed to pick up a wicket in 29 overs.
Resuming at his overnight score of 143, Kohli reached the milestone at the stroke of lunch. Kohli continued his march without any discomfort at all. First up, he crossed the 150-mark off 208 balls as the 100-partnership came up in the 96th over. Then he went past his previous Test highest score of 169 scored against Australia at the MCG in December 2014.
This is the first double century for Kohli at the First Class level with his previous highest being 197.
When Kohli reached the 193-run mark, he had made&nbsp;the highest score by an Indian captain, going past the previous mark set by Mohammad Azharuddin, who made 192 against New Zealand at Auckland in February 1990.&nbsp; The Indian seemed to slow down a bit and became more cautious as the double century approached, eventually reaching the landmark with a single off Chase.
Well, Kohli's milestone set the social media platforms ablaze with Twitterati -- from cricketers to former players to celebs to ordinary people -- going into overdrive to praise him.
Some even compared him to Rajinikanth and brought in the reference of the superstar's latest film 'Kabali'.
