SARFARAZ Khan smashed a double century and Aakash Luthra hit an unbeaten hundred to power Rizvi Springfield (Bandra), into the semis of the Giles Shield cricket tournament by virtue of a first innings lead against Anjuman Allana (English) at Cross Maidan yesterday.

The 11-year hit 225 off 205 balls, a knock that included 24 fours and seven sixes as Springfield totalled 483 after Anjuman had been bowled out for 107 on Tuesday, the opening day of the three-day game. Luthra scored 127 not out. At stumps on Day Two, Anjuman were 20 for one in their second innings.
