A historic milestone for Mumbai cricket unfolded at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday in the inaugural Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women’s League. Indian international Sayali Satghare led from the front, delivering a vital three-wicket haul to guide the SOBO Mumbai Falcons to a thrilling 16-run victory over the Thane Sky Risers in the tournament's curtain-raiser.
Chasing a formidable target of 174, Thane’s opener Mansi Patil fought valiantly with a top score of 46. While Mahek Pokar (23, retired hurt) and Saima Thakor (29) showed flashes of brilliance, the Sky Risers struggled to build partnerships against a disciplined Falcons bowling unit led by Satghare.
