Former India captain Ravi Shastri, whose name was suggested by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for a three-man panel to probe the spot fixing scandal, was not a choice that former BCCI chief Shashank Manohar agreed to. According to sources within the BCCI, Manohar opposed Shastri’s name because he is a Board-contracted commentator.
