Indian captain Shubman Gill surged three spots to claim the second spot in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings, while New Zealand paceman Matt Henry drew level with Jasprit Bumrah as the joint number-one-ranked bowler in Test cricket.

Gill currently trails New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell by just 24 rating points after a series of big scores against Afghanistan during the recently wrapped-up three-match ODI series.
