New Delhi: Young designer Masaba Gupta&rsquo;s label Masaba has been picked as the official sporting apparel design partner by the Women&rsquo;s International Cricket League (WICL).

Masaba (24), the daughter of West Indies&rsquo; cricket legend Vivian Richards and actress Neena Gupta, is obviously excited about the project.
&ldquo;I will be designing the jerseys and gear for six teams for the first ever women's IPL to be held in Singapore. Our first step into sportswear,&rdquo; tweeted Masaba, who was also appointed fashion director of luxury brand Satya Paul, and has emerged as one of the most promising new-age designers.
&ldquo;Bringing Masaba in to design women&rsquo;s playing and training apparel seemed perfect as we were looking to create an identity through design and packaging of the sport,&rdquo; said Shaun Martyn, director of WICL, proposed to be held in Singapore later this year.
