Records tumbled at the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT 2023) as Railways' 25-year-old batsman Ashutosh Sharma smashed the fastest half-century in T20 cricket by an Indian.

During the SMAT 2023 enocunter between Railways and Arunachal Pradesh, Ashutosh smashed a half-century in just 11 balls, smashing one boundary and eight sixes. He overtook legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh's record of 12-ball fifty against England in the ICC T20 World Cup 2007.
