South African pace great Dale Steyn, 35, yesterday hinted that he could retire from ODIs after the World Cup in England next year. He felt many South African senior players could bid adieu as well.
"I'm hoping after the World Cup, I don't see myself playing white-ball cricket for South Africa. By the time the next World Cup comes, I will be 40. I think after the World Cup, there wouldn't be a surprise if a lot of senior players retire or slowly work their way out of white-ball cricket. But when it comes to Test cricket, I would like to play as long as possible. I have finally gotten over a cloud of injuries," he said.
