If Virender Sehwag needs to know how to go about coping with his shoulder injury, he does not have to travel far. He just has to meet up with his former India teammate Anil Kumble, who is on commentary duty in England. Kumble suffered a shoulder injury in 2001 which caused him to miss the epic home series against Steve Waugh's

"I have not spoken to Viru as yet but will get hold of his number and call him soon," Kumble told MiD DAY at the Lord's press centre. "I don't think Viru will be out for very long. Maybe three months. It is a critical time for him now and it can get frustrating. But you've got to keep your spirits up. You have got to stay positive. After all, injuries are part and parcel of sport," Kumble added. Strict schedule Sehwag underwent surgery for his right shoulder in Nottingham on Thursday. "A shoulder operation varies for people. I took 10 months to come back to international cricket. For six months I had to follow a strict schedule of exercise and rehabilitation. I had no choice but to enjoy it," said Kumble, who is making his debut appearance as commentator. Sehwag can file solace in the fact that players like Kumble and Shane Warne have come back and been the same kind of force as they were before their respective shoulder injuries. And with Sehwag giving positivity a good name right through his career, it is unlikely he'll get bogged down by this hurdle.
