Former England fast bowler had once been told to attack late Australia batsman Phillip Hughes whose death after being struck by a ball has left the sporting world stunned
London: Former England fast bowler Steve Harmison has admitted that he feels sick to recall the game where his team (England Lions) had a plan to bowl at Phillip Hughes with some short-pitched deliveries, while playing against the Aussies at Worcester in 2009.
Harmison, known famously as Grevious Bodily Harmison, said that he was never proud of hitting a batsman, and he has never been less proud of it now. He further said that pace and aggression should not be at the cost of opponents’ welfare, the Mirror reported.
