Australia legend Steve Waugh heaped praise on West Indies' sensation Shamar Joseph who helped the Caribbeans register their first test win in Australia after 27 years. He also called him a 'saviour in the purest form of the game.'

The 24-year-old Caribbean speedster who made his debut in the first test of the two-match series against Australia, bowled a fiery spell of 11.5-0-68-7 to power Windies to a thrilling eight-run win at the Gabba, Brisbane, a traditional fortress of the hosts. The effort was even more special because Joseph bowled with an injury. The hosts lead pacer Mitchell Starc bowled a toe-crushing yorker to Joseph after which he retired out.
