The Ajinkya Rahane-led North Mumbai Panthers kicked off their Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026 campaign in commanding fashion, registering a 21-run victory over Suryakumar Yadav’s Triumph Knights Mumbai North East at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.
Chasing a massive target of 210, the Triumph Knights suffered early setbacks with both openers falling cheaply. The early wickets brought India’s T20 international captain Suryakumar Yadav to the crease to a thunderous reception from the local crowd. Suryakumar immediately went on the attack, striking four boundaries to help guide his team to 56/2 by the conclusion of the Powerplay.
