In the T20 Mumbai League 2025 final, Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals came victorious by five wickets against SoBo Mumbai Falcons at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

In a jam-packed Wankhede stadium, which included members of India's first World Cup-winning squad, Kapil Dev and Dilip Vengsarkar, the Falcons lost early wickets. Later, riding on the knocks of Mayuresh Tandel and Harsh Aghav, the Shreyas Iyer-led side posted 157 runs on board.

Tandel played an knock of an unbeaten knock of 50 runs in 32 deliveries, including three boundaries and the same number of maximums. On the other hand, Harsh, too, stayed unbeaten on 45 runs off 28 deliveries, including a boundary and four maximums.

In response to a target of 158 runs, the Siddhesh Lad-led team chased it in 19.2 overs. Chinmay Sutar scored 53 runs off 49 deliveries, which was laced with two boundaries and two maximums. Later, Awais Khan played a fiery knock of 38 runs in just 24 balls, including three boundaries and two maximums.

However, with just eight runs required off 10 balls, left-arm spinner Kartik Mishra brought the Falcons back into the contest with a dramatic penultimate over, dismissing both Awais and Chinmay to momentarily swing the momentum.

But with seven needed off the final over, Rohan Raje kept his composure, slashing a boundary off the first delivery and sealing the win with four balls to spare, guiding the Royals to a tense yet well-earned victory.
