In the semi-final 2 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 against Team India, England skipper Harry Brook has won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The "Three Lions" will enter the clash with just one change. Rehan Ahmed will make way for Jamie Overton.

The cricket fans present at the Wankhede Stadium will expect their homeboy Suryakumar Yadav to bring his 'A-game'. Burly all-rounder Shivam Dube is also expected to deliver performances with the bat as well as ball in his homeground.

After winning the toss, England skipper Brook said, "We will bowl first because the surface looks good and we want an early foothold with the ball before chasing later. Playing here earlier in the tournament helps a bit, although India have far more experience, so we must read the conditions quickly and play our best cricket. T20 cricket can turn in a moment, but the tight games we have edged through so far should help us stay settled tonight. The atmosphere will be intense with a huge crowd backing India, and we hope to quieten things with a strong performance. We have made one change with Jamie Overton coming in for Rehan Ahmed".

On the other hand, Team India captain Suryakumar said, "We wanted to bat first because it is a big semifinal and putting runs on the board suits us especially with a breeze around and little chance of dew. Preparations have been excellent and whatever I have asked of the boys they have delivered with a very positive mindset. We sat together earlier in the tournament and decided how we wanted to play and since then the cricket we have produced has been of a different standard. The pitch looks outstanding and the curators deserve credit and we hope for a full house and a great show tonight. We are going in with the same team".
