He and his wife, Devisha, welcomed their daughter, Riddhima, on May 7, 2026.
In an interview, the cricketer said that he has made space for his daughter's things and added that he keeps her small toys in his wardrobe.
"I have emptied some places for my daughter's things. Like now, after she drinks milk, a burp cloth has come in the wardrobe. Then diapers are there. Small napkins have increased. I have kept her small toys in my wardrobe. All that matters. Whatever is there. She likes to play. Now she has started reacting also," said Suryakumar.
Recently, he got a chance to explore his inner fashionista recently, when he took the runway as the showstopper for Ethnix by Raymond’s Wedding Stories at Lakme Fashion Week — an event held in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), at Taj Palace, New Delhi.
The batsman wore this outfit inspired by Indian chintz florals, featuring multicoloured Gresham embroidery, a long jacket and matching trousers.
Earlier, he was also left out of Mumbai's 16-member squad for the Ranji Trophy. According to several media reports, he had scheduled a red-ball practice session at the PJ Hindu Gymkhana.
However, when MCA released the list of players, with Suryakumar’s name missing, he immediately cancelled this session.
It is learnt that Suryakumar, 36, who led India to the T20 World Cup title with a 96-run win over New Zealand in the final at Ahmedabad last March, had made himself available for this Ranji season.
So far, he has played 113 T20I matches for Team India and has garnered 3272 runs. With a top score of 117 runs, Suryakumar also has 25 half-centuries and four tons in the format. The right-handed batsman also featured in 37 ODI matches and accumulated 773 runs. With his career-best score of an unbeaten 72 runs, he has four half-centuries in the 50-over format. He also represented India in one Test match in which he managed to score just eight runs.
