In the second women's ODI match against Australia, Team India secured a dominating win by 102 runs at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Punjab.

During the match, Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana delivered a strong start for India. Facing 32 balls, Rawal smashed 25 runs, with the help of four boundaries.

On the other hand, Mandhana completed her century by registering a score of 117 runs in 91 balls, which was laced with 14 boundaries and four maximums.

Speaking on the batting partnership between the two, Rawal said the understanding between them is natural and not made up.

"I think it's (understanding) quite easy and quite natural. We don't have to talk much between innings, she does what she does best, and I do what I do best. There's an understanding between us that feels natural, not made up," said the 25-year-old cricketer.

"Even off the field, she (Mandhana) is an introvert and so am I, though we'd call ourselves more ambiverts. Because of that, we don't need to put in extra effort to connect, we already understand each other," she added.

The Delhi-born cricketer was nothing short of praise for Smriti Mandhana and also said that she is enjoying batting with Smriti more than Smriti does with her.

"On the field, the only focus is the next ball, and everything else follows step by step. I enjoy batting with her more than she enjoys batting with me, so it's always great, especially the way she plays and takes on every ball. It's just so amazing to see," said Rawal.

The third and final women's ODI between Team India and Australia is scheduled to be played on September 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

After the conclusion of the series, both teams will gear up to engage in the upcoming ODI Women's World Cup 2025, starting from September 30.
