India romped to an eight-wicket win over Australia on Saturday to claim their fourth under-19 World Cup title in front of a jovial bunch of spectators who had driven 300km from Auckland. For those spectators and the rest of the Indian supporters, it was a treat to watch opener Manjot Kalra get his name into the history books with a glorious unbeaten innings of 101 from 102 balls, thereby emulating Unmukt Chand's effort in the 2012 final against the same opponents in Townsville, Australia.
