Verdict in Chris Cairns-Lalit Modi libel case to be out this week

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is likely to give its verdict on the allegations against former New Zealand captain Chris Cairns of perverting the course of justice while winning a libel case against former IPL chairman
London: The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is likely to give its verdict on the allegations against former New Zealand captain Chris Cairns of perverting the course of justice while winning a libel case against former IPL chairman Lalit Modi, this week.
According to media reports, Cairns has been investigated by the Metropolitan Police, who have passed on a file to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Cairns had won his libel trial against former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi in 2012, who had accused him of fixing.
