Virat Kohli has a legion of fans across the world, but his special follower got a personal invitation to attend the Virushka reception that was held in Mumbai on Tuesday. Gyan Senanayake, a passionate Sri Lankan team supporter, who is also popular with the Indian team, was thrilled when the Indian captain sent him an invitation through WhatsApp. "I was the only fan to attend Virat's reception. I felt on top of the world. Virat is a great human being and this gesture was very touching since his reception was only for his close friends, teammates and family members," Senanayake told mid-day yesterday.

Senanayake reached the Lower Parel venue with the Indian cricketers for company. He was scheduled to leave the city for Colombo on Tuesday, but postponed his departure by a day so that he could attend the reception. "I called my travel agent to cancel my original ticket and delayed my departure to Wednesday," he said. Senanayake felt over the moon when Kohli took a selfie with him. "He took a selfie with me. He then introduced me to his wife Anushka Sharma. He also danced with me. These moments will stay with me forever," said Senanayake.
