Fancied Chennai Super Kings suffered the upset of the tournament after bottom-placed Kolkata Knight Riders stunned them yesterday.
Commenting on KKR's spectacular chase of 189, CSK coach Stephen Fleming said: "The most dangerous thing is to play against a team which has nothing to lose.
Fleming denied that his team paid the price of underestimating their opponents. "We did not take them lightly.

They may not have got the results, but they are too good a side. We are disappointed at not executing our plans and shutting the game with the ball," he said.
Despite the setback, Fleming was confident his side would make the semis. "A lot of things will have to go wrong for us to not make the semis." One cause of concern for them will be Matthew Hayden's injury.
"Hayden has suffered a slight tear in his quad muscle. We are hoping that with a bit of rest, he will be ready.
