The Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) Managing Committee may have lifted the five-year ban on Shah Rukh Khan last August, but the controversial issue will be raked up again at the 82nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) today.

Former MCA president Ravi Savant has written to the office-bearers, demanding an explanation as to why the ban was lifted after just three years.
The Bollywood superstar, who is also the co-owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, allegedly misbehaved with MCA officials and manhandled a security guard after being stopped from stepping on the turf after an IPL match at the Wankhede Stadium in 2012.

Way back then The five-year ban was slapped on Shah Rukh after the film star refused to apologise. Then MCA president, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh, decided to ban the KKR co-owner from entering the Wankhede Stadium. It is learnt that MCA president Sharad Pawar has prepared a detailed reply to counter Savant's question. Savant will also want to know why the new local tournaments' structure, which was formulated under his leadership, was discontinued by the current regime.
Meanwhile, the MCA's Managing Committee has shot down two resolutions &mdash; implementing Lodha committee recommendations in toto and allegations against Chief executive officer CS Naik.
On the cricketing front, the members are expected to come down heavily on the MCA for allowing suspect action bowlers to play in local tournaments despite being suspended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
