Wellington: New Zealand hero Corey Anderson may reportedly lose half of his 866,000-dollar Indian Premier League (IPL) auction price after he injured his finger in Monday's World Twenty20 defeat to Sri Lanka.

Anderson dislocated and cut the little finger on his right hand while trying to catch Sri Lanka's Sachithra Senanayake and was immediately taken to hospital, where the finger was put back in place and the wound stitched.
