Chandigarh: Almost 10 hours after he suffered an ankle injury while batting against Australia, it looked like Yuvraj was still in excruciating pain as he hobbled through airport security nearly 15 minutes after his teammates here yesterday.

Despite wearing sunglasses, the grimace on his face was still evident as he took tiny steps towards the boarding gate. Even his trolley bag had to be pushed by an airport staff member as Yuvraj went to the departure gates via the lift.
After the game, skipper Dhoni had stated the seriousness of the injury can only be judged after 24 hours. But given the way Yuvraj struggled at the airport, it would require a miracle from physio Patrick Farhat to get Yuvraj fit for the semi final against the West Indies on Thursday.
PTI adds: Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey arrived as cover for injured Yuvraj, while Mumbaikar Ajinkya Rahane, who was warming the bench so far, is also back in focus ahead of the all-important clash.
Sources in the BCCI said that Yuvraj, who sustained an ankle injury when setting off for a run against Australia at Mohali yesterday, went for a MRI scan soon after arriving in Mumbai with the rest of the Indian team members. The senior batsman is doing rehab, it is learnt.
