Only time will tell whether India really needed the services of 2011 World Cup man of the tournament Yuvraj Singh, but some fans are convinced the southpaw should have been part of MS Dhoni's world champions here Down Under. Rushabh Shah, a diamond trader from Mumbai, had 'I support Yuvi' imprinted on his shirt, while his friends promoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' campaign at the Adelaide Oval here. "Yuvraj should've played his last World Cup here, instead of Axar Patel, who is young and will get more chances in future. Yuvi can turn the fate of a match in one over — ask (Stuart) Broad (whom he hit for six sixes in a 2007 World T20 match)," reasoned Rushabh.

ICC rules don't apply to BCCI?
Two days before the India vs Pakistan encounter, Team India's media manager Dr RN Baba had said that pacer Dhawal Kulkarni, who was retained as the team's 16th player in case of any injury in the pace department, would not be allowed on the ground on match day but would be in the dressing room as well as the dugout area. To this, International Cricket Council's media and communications head Sami Ul Hasan had said that this would be against the rules that only permit 15 players in the dressing room and dugout area. Yesterday, however, Kulkarni was very much in the dugout area in direct violation of ICC's rules. When questioned yesterday, Hasan refused to speak much on the matter and simply said that he would "check if this has happened." It seems the ICC has no say when it comes to matters pertaining to the all-powerful BCCI.
