<h2>Dembele wins Ligue 1's best player award</h2>
Paris Saint-Germain forward <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/football/article/psg-star-ousmane-dembele-voted-ligue-1s-best-player-for-2nd-straight-year-23630114" rel="nofollow">Ousmane Dembele</a> was voted Ligue 1's player of the season for the second straight year. Dembele won the award on Monday night as a PSG player claimed it for the 10th straight time. French superstar Kylian Mbappe won the award five times in a row before joining Real Madrid.
Despite a recurring injury problem this season, Dembele has contributed with 10 goals in only nine league starts. Dembele starred in PSG's league title win last season with 21 goals and went on to win the Ballon d'Or, but has had less of an impact this campaign because of injuries.
For the second consecutive season, PSG colleague Desire Doue was chosen as the best young player in the league. PSG will now turn their attention towards the Champions League final, where they will face <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/football/article/arsenal-beat-west-ham-amid-var-controversy-inching-closer-to-the-league-title-23629909" rel="nofollow">Arsenal</a>.
