German football star <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/football/article/manchester-city-ilkay-gundogan-we-know-bristol-can-surprise-us-18911169" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Ilkay Gundogan</a>&rsquo;s wife Sara Arfaoui claims there are no good restaurants in Manchester.&nbsp;

During an Instagram chat, when the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/lifestyle/culture/article/premier-league-2022-23-manchester-city-are-going-to-win-say-mumbai-football-fans-23239535" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Manchester City</a> star&rsquo;s wife was asked which is her favourite restaurant in Manchester, she replied: &ldquo;Sorry, I&rsquo;m sad to be honest but nothing. I tried so bad to find a good restaurant but horrible food everywhere. Can&rsquo;t find real Italian or good sushi or just fresh food...everywhere frozen. Restaurants here are focused on making money with drinks and &nbsp;shots like nightclubs, not quality food. Maybe in London but in Manchester...nothing. I&rsquo;m sorry.&rdquo;
Food experts labelled Sara&rsquo;s comments as &ldquo;preposterous&rdquo; and said Manchester was an &ldquo;absolute gem of a place to eat.&rdquo;
