The Primera Division leaders host the out-of-form English champions in the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Nou Camp today already holding a 2-1 advantage.
The Catalan giants outplayed City at the Etihad Stadium three weeks ago and would have won more convincingly had Joe Hart not saved a late penalty.
The odds appear to be stacked against City, who slumped to a dismal defeat at Burnley last weekend, but Barca are insisting the job is not done yet.
Playmaker Andres Iniesta said: "We will have to go out there and play in a very comprehensive manner. We need to have lots of ball possession so they suffer, so they have to follow the ball.
Controlling the game "We need to find those moments to be dangerous, we need to find our superior skills whenever possible. "If we do not achieve these objectives, Manchester City can achieve their own objectives. We have to control what is going on at every different moment."

Meanwhile, David Silva believes Manchester City have nothing to lose as they head into today's crunch showdown at Barcelona, needing to overturn a 2-1 deficit to reach the quarter-finals. City hit a new low on Saturday as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at relegation battlers Burnley to all but relinquish their grip on the Barclays Premier League trophy.
The 29-year-old said: "Everybody wrote Schalke off before they played Real Madrid but they won 4-3 and could have scored again which would have put them through - nobody predicted that.
'Pressure on Barca' "Not many thought PSG could beat Chelsea, especially with only 10 men for so long, so I know that everything can happen, not only in the Champions League but in every game.
"Everyone is expecting Barca to go through but hopefully we can give a strong performance and we don't have any kind of pressure on us because we are behind and playing away."
