Real Madrid are wary of the threat Paris Saint-Germain possess when the two sides clash in their semi-final encounter of the Club World Cup at the MetLife Stadium here. However, Los Blancos defender Antonio Rudiger believes his team is up for the fight.
“PSG are a very tough team to play against. They’ve shown they’re one of the best teams in Europe. But we’re Real Madrid and we’re ready for the challenge,” Rudiger told FIFA.

However, Xabi Alonso’s team does have a player who faced the current version of Luis Enrique’s high-flying side and came out second best — Trent Alexander-Arnold , while playing for Liverpool earlier this year.
“I played against PSG this season and they were exceptional. Of course, it’ll be a tough game. Both teams have earned their place in the semi-finals, but in the knockout stages anything can happen,” said the optimistic right-back.
Meanwhile, PSG are firmly focused on adding the only trophy that’s missing in their cabinet this year. “I think we deserve to be here. I hope we’ll keep improving and be able to play another final, that’s our goal,” said PSG boss Luis Enrique.
