David Beckham has fabulous abs, says wife Victoria

His perfect family man image notwithstanding, Victoria Beckham spells out what she likes in her former England footballer husband of nearly two decades

Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham says her husband and former England football star David Beckham (right) is “very romantic” and his commitment to family is what drew her to him in the first place.

“We regularly do lovely things to surprise each other,” Victoria told people.com.

“The first time I met David, nearly 20 years ago, we were at a football match. After the game, all the other players were having a drink with their friends and David was standing with his mum and dad and his younger sister Joanne. Family is important to him.”

She added that family played a big part in their marriage proposal too.

“When he proposed to me he asked my dad first, which is such a respectful thing to do,” said Victoria (41) who has sons Brooklyn (16), Romeo (13), Cruz (10) and daughter Harper (4), with the 40-year-old former England football captain.

“'I think the biggest thing people don’t know about David is that he has got an incredible head on his shoulders. He is very smart. He is a great businessman too. He has great ideas and can be very creative,” added the former Posh Spice Girl.

Asked what her favourite part of David’s body is, she said: “'I admit he has got fantastic abs.”
