England football great David Beckham is among the world&rsquo;s richest players, but it looks like he still keeps a close eye on his bank balance. Beckham revealed that he saves pennies to spend on his family.
"We used to be very extravagant in what we&rsquo;d buy each other. But we&rsquo;re obviously saving the pennies now because we have so many children to be extravagant with," Beckham, 42, told ES Magazine yesterday.
The ex-Man United star, whose assets amount to a whopping &pound;339 million, said he and wife Victoria are more content to live a simple life. "It&rsquo;s more about spending time together and going for a simple dinner," he added.
