London: Former captain of the English football team David Beckham expressed his support yesterday for the 'No' vote on the independence of Scotland and asked Scots not to leave a link with Britain that is "the envy of the entire world."

In an open letter released yesterday by the 'Let's Stay Together' anti-independence campaign group, the former Real Madrid player said he was proud to have represented Britain as part of the team that secured the 2012 Olympics Games for London.
