Kolkata: City football giants East Bengal has left behind all other clubs - both in ISL and I-League - in terms of "likes" on its official Facebook page.
The yellow and red brigade have garnered 1,346,365 likes, way ahead of second placed Indian Super League (ISL) side Kerala Blasters, with 535,274 likes.
Third in the list is again a team from the home of football in India - ISL franchise Atletico de Kolkata, with 439,495 likes.
The other city giant Mohun Bagan is in the sixth spot getting 281,717 likes.
Also featuring in the top 10 are ISL clubs like Delhi Dynamos (fourth with 422,754 likes), Mumbai City FC (fifth with 421,989 likes), Chennaiyin FC (ninth with 178,883 likes) and FC Goa (10th with 177,458 likes).
Clubs from the northeast too are a favourite for the Facebook users, as Shillong Lajong FC (I-League club) and NorthEast United (ISL) are placed sixth and seventh on the table respectively.
