Bayern Munich star Harry feels Chelsea fans’s hatred will fuel him for today’s game vs Blues; striker has previously spent 14 years with London rivals Spurs

Bayern Munich’s star striker Harry Kane said he was relishing a chance to face Chelsea at the Allianz Arena in Munich, claiming that the hate Blues fans have against him serves as further motivation to perform in Wednesday’s blockbuster Champions League clash.
“There’s always expectations when playing against an English Premier League team. Maybe the Chelsea fans hate me, but that just motivates me even more. We’re playing against good opponents tomorrow and we have to give 100 per cent,” said the England international, who spent 14 years with Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Red-hot form
The 32-year-old has begun this season from where he left off, netting five goals to go with three assists in Bayern’s first three Bundesliga games, speaking on his red-hot form, Kane said, “I’m not sure if I expected it. I always back myself to score goals. I had to get used to everything at a new club first and didn’t know how it would go. I’m very happy with how it’s gone and want to build on that. The style suits me well. I’ve got a lot of confidence right now and I’m physically and mentally strong. When we play well as a team, I’ll score a lot of goals.”
Revamped attack
Kane has benefitted from the German giants’s revamped attack, featuring ex-Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, and former Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, who was signed last season. The recent addition of Nicolas Jackson — on loan from Chelsea — has further boosted their front-line, but injuries to midfielder Jamal Musiala and left-back Alphonso Davies has left Bayern light in terms of squad depth. Meanwhile, the Blues who surprised many by winning the Club World Cup in July, will pose a stern test to Bayern.
The Blues also have history at this venue against their opponents — they had beaten Bayern in the 2012 UCL final. They will be looking for a similar result this time too.
