Diego Maradona and Jose Mourinho

London: Jose Mourinho was cheered up by a call from Diego Maradona after Manchester United's draw against Arsenal. United manager Mourinho revealed Maradona rang him following the 1-1 draw where Olivier Giroud's late equaliser matched Juan Mata's opener and rescued the Gunners.

Mourinho posted a picture on Instagram of him being embraced by Maradona at a previous event, and wrote: "After a great perfomance but a bad result i had a phone call from king diego..gracias amigo.with you,with my family,with other friends,with my players and with utd amazing supporters...monday i will be ready again!!!"
