Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman was adamant his tactics were not responsible for the team’s early elimination from the World Cup following a 2-3 loss on penalties to Morocco in the round-of-16 here on Monday. 

“If I had to do it again, I’d do it the same way. As the coach when the equaliser is scored I am always going to be scolded for the fact I chose five defenders,” said Koeman, who surprisingly decided to use a 5-3-2 formation instead of his usual 4-3-3 formation.
