The Hague: There was some bad news for the Dutch football team as Rafael van der Vaart suffered a calf injury on the last day of the national camp in Portugal for the FIFA World Cup.

On Monday Van der Vaart had already missed a training due to a mild fever. The 31-year-old Hamburger SV player will undergo a further medical examination later Tuesday before leaving for home with the team, reports Xinhua.
