Colombian pop singer Shakira is not coy to admit that it's her partner and Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, who does all the hard work when it comes to looking after their kids. The Barcelona star is 10 years younger than his 39-year-old lover but he's a lot more mature, says Shakira.

'10 years wiser' "Gerard might be 10 years younger than me, but sometimes, he is 10 years wiser. He's also impulsive and playful. He is quite a character, but it's fun to live with him," Shakira said on the sidelines of a recent event in Los Angeles to promote Disney movie Zootopia, for which she has lent her voice.
The singer and songwriter has two children with Pique, whom she met for the first time during the shooting of her hit track for the 2010 World Cup, Waka Waka. The couple have two sons, three-year-old son Milan and one-year-old Sasha. And according to the singer, the Barca defender deals with his daddy chores as professionally as he tackles his opponents on the football field.
His tender side "As you live with a person over the years, he begins to show you different facets of his personality, as Gerard has been showing me lately. He has shown his tender side since the kids were born. He's the one who changes diapers and the one who's there for them. He is the rock of the family," added Shakira, who however, feels bad for her man given his busy schedule throughout the year.

"Living with Gerard is like being married to a soldier who doesn't die in battle. He's pretty much anchored to Barcelona, and he can't travel.
He wished to be here with me in Los Angeles and America, but he can't enjoy it as much as I can because he has to be there for his team pretty much every day.
Busy in Barcelona "They only get like almost a month off per year, but the rest of the time, he's there training every day and playing matches. He's always thinking about his team and that has taught me so much.
There are certain codes, principles and ideas. It's wonderful. That's why I want my kids to learn all about sports. "Even if they don't do it professionally, there are many advantages. The way it shapes the personality of children is fantastic," she added.
