Kochi: French defender Cedric Hengbart yesterday re-signed for Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Kerala Blasters for the third edition of the football tournament.

He played a pivotal role in guiding Blasters to the final of the first season. He played for the North East United FC in last year&rsquo;s ISL.
Cedric Hengbart said in a release, &ldquo;After a wonderful first season with the Kerala Blasters, it feels good to be back home again. The fan support in the first season was impressive and I look forward to playing in front of the home crowd again.&rdquo;
The club&rsquo;s coach Steve Coppell said, &ldquo;The return of Cedric will strengthen the team further. He is a highly adaptable defender skilled at positioning and game reading.&rdquo;&nbsp;
