<p>India pipped a spirited Maldives 3-2 to enter the final of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championships for a record 10th time after in-form Jeje Lalpekhlua struck twice in a thrilling semi-final</p>

Thiruvananthapuram: Star striker Jeje Lalpekhlua scored a brilliant brace as the Indian team stormed into the SAFF Cup final for a record 10th time with a 3-2 edge-of-the-seat win over a a spirited Maldives at the Trivandrum International Stadium here on Thursday.
India will meet defending champions Afghanistan in what will be a replay of 2013 edition in Kathmandu. In the second semi-final, Afghanistan hammered Sri Lanka 5-0 to make it a repeat of the 2013 edition in Kathmandu.
Mohammad Hashemi (45'+), Kanischka Taher (50th min), Khaibar Amani (56th min), Ahmad Arash Hatifi (78th min), Faysal Shayesteh (89th min) were the scorers for the defending champions.
