Former England footballer Rio Ferdinand has applauded wife Kate for helping him overcome the loss &nbsp;of his first wife Rebecca and become a better man.
Ferdinand met Kate after Rebecca lost her cancer battle in 2015. Ferdinand got married to Kate in 2019 and they have son Cree together.&nbsp;
&ldquo;You really do learn about yourself. I was so low that you don&rsquo;t see a way out. But if you have good people then you can claw your way out to the point where you are as happy as you have ever been. Kate has helped to make me a better man. There is no doubt about that. And you have your own moments. You have a drink on your own and look back and realise you have come a f***ing long way in the last few years,&rdquo; Ferdinand told Sportsmail.&nbsp;
Kate is a step mother to Ferdinand&rsquo;s kids Lorenz, Tate and Tia.
