The defending champions' current 15th spot in the EPL and early exit from the League Cup after losing to Stoke City on Tuesday, has prompted the latest in a flood of damning headlines.
Wednesday's edition of The Sun splashed that Mourinho was "clinging to his job by a thread", his two-year tenure "all but over". The Daily Mirror reported that some senior players believe it's "only a matter of time before Jose departs."
The Daily Telegraph said he was "fighting for his future," while The Guardian insisted his future was "up in the air". Mourinho however, remained calm declaring he'd ;sleep well' despite seeing his team's wretched season continue.
"I have a day off tomorrow, a fantastic family, I can sleep well every night. I'm going to enjoy my day," he said.
