German World Cup-winner Thomas Muller’s wife Lisa reveals what it’s like to be the WAG of a famous footballer

Lisa Muller, the wife of German football superstar Thomas Muller, recently opened up on how difficult it is to be a WAG (Wives and Girlfriends) of a famous sports player, saying she is often made to feel as the ‘dumbest one in the room.’
The 36-year-old, who is a successful dressage rider, said she often felt reduced to just being the wife of a footballer, and didn’t get recognised for the individual that she is. “I’m always considered the dumbest person in the room,” Lisa said at a campaign event organised by German news outlet Bild.
However, having now been married to Thomas — a World Cup winner — for 16 years, she has learnt to deal with it. “At first, I tried to fight against it and say: ‘I’m more than that.’ Now I don’t care anymore,” she added.
