Paraguay goalkeeper Orlando Gill admitted he lost his temper after <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/football/article/mbappe-scores-twice-as-france-breeze-past-sweden-into-world-cup-last-16-23637657" rel="nofollow">France skipper Kylian Mbappe</a> ignored his attempt to shake hands following his team&rsquo;s 0-1 round-of-16 defeat.
After the final whistle, Mbappe kept walking, leaving Gill hanging as the goalkeeper extended his right hand in a show of sportsmanship. An upset Gill threw the ball at Mbappe.
&ldquo;I tried to shake his hand, but since he didn&rsquo;t pay me any attention, I lost my temper,&rdquo; Gill said. &ldquo;But anyway, that was all I did; I calmed down afterward.&rdquo;
Tempers weren&rsquo;t exactly under control during the match either. &ldquo;From the very first moment, we set out to make our presence felt on the pitch &mdash; to play hard,&rdquo; Gill said.
