Paul Breitner, former Bayern Munich star and Germany's goalscorer in the 1974 FIFA World Cup final against the Netherlands, does not feel Pep Guardiola's departure is going to leave a major impact on Bayern Munich.

In an email interview to SUNDAY mid-day, Breitner, who is in India to attend the FC Bayern Youth Cup, an under-16, seven-a-side inter-school football tournament, Breitner also spoke about Germany's Euro 2016 chances and Bayern's domination in German league.
Excerpts:
Q. On the upcoming Euro 2016 and his favourites to win the trophy... A. Germany is always one of the favourites for any World Cup or Euro Cup. For me, the Euro is nice to play and nicer to win, but the Euro is not very important. The reason behind this is because as it happens even after finishing the World Cup, there are always players who will say they want to retire as they feel they finished their career for the national team. So then, in that case the coach, in our case &mdash; Joachim L&ouml;w has to look for new players and then coach them to become as good as the retired ones. Joachim gives the new players a chance to learn, to improve, to make mistakes, to play and then watch their performance to determine if they will be ready in two years to play the World Cup. Personally for me, the Euro is a test for the new players, to see who will be worthy to play for the upcoming World Cup. Germany is always the favourite &mdash; the reason is that in every generation and football generation (a period of 3-5 years), we always have millions of kids playing football and we always get good kids therefore we are successful.
Q. On Pep Guardiola's reign at Bayern and what impact his departure will have on the club... A. Nothing will happen. There will be no change. If you sign your first contract for Bayern at the age 18 years or 30 years&hellip; you will realise that you are the only club in the world where you are expected to win every match and every title.
